1. Do you live on the premises?

Yes. The kennel is attached to our home. When you walk in the front door, you are walking into our business and our home.

2. What do you mean when you say you’re open by appointment only?

Since our kennel is our home, we don’t have employees, and we are open 7 days a week, we need to know when we can come and go, make our own personal appointments, and take off to run errands without missing anyone. We will call to see if you will be arriving during our morning hours or evening hours. Occasionally, we may have to adjust our hours due to family or personal obligations.
3. Can I tour the kennel?

Of course. We welcome and encourage tours before boarding. Tours are by appointment and can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 11:30am and again from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. Saturday from 9:00am to 11:30am and Sunday from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. We are not able to give tours on Sunday during our peak season.

We do not allow pets to go through the kennel with you during the tour. However, you are welcome to bring your pets for us to meet them before or after your tour of our facility.

4. Can I pick up or drop off other than your business hours?

You may take advantage of our after hours service, and there is a $50.00 charge for us to open the kennel for you. If it’s on a holiday we are closed, the fee is $100.00.

5. Are you open on major holidays?

No. The kennel is closed for pick ups and drop offs on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
We are open from 9:00am to 10:00am on December 24th and December 31st.

6. Is anyone taking care of the animals on the Holidays?

Yes. We are still caring for your pets, but we also appreciate having holidays off.

7. Do the rates increase over the holidays and or do you require a minimum day stay?

No. Rates remain the same year around. We do not require a minimum day stay during peak season or holidays, but if you reserve kennel space and return early, you pay for the time you reserved.

8. Is the kennel air conditioned and heated?

    Yes.

9. What vaccinations does my dog or cat need to board with you?

Dogs need proof of Rabies, Distemper, Parvo and Bordetella (kennel cough).
Puppies must be 10 days past their final round of distemper/parvo vaccination before we will accept them for boarding.

If your pet's vaccinations are expired, or will expire before your boarding reservation, they must be administered no less than 7 days prior to boarding.

Cats need proof of Rabies, Feline Distemper, and Feline Leukemia.
(If you prefer not to vaccinate your cat for Feline Leukemia, we will accept proof of a negative blood test within 3 months of boarding.)

10. When are dogs let out and put to bed?

We open doors in the morning between 5:00am and 5:30am, and we close up between 8:00pm and 9:00pm.

11. What if my pet becomes ill while at the kennel?

We will contact your vet and transport to them. If it is after hours and your vet’s office is closed, we will transport your pet to the emergency clinic. We will then attempt to contact you or your emergency contact person.
12. What brand of food do you feed and can I bring my own?

We feed Solid Gold brand dog and cat foods. You are welcome to bring your own food at no additional charge. Food containers need to be labeled with your pet’s name otherwise the food you brought will not be fed to your pet because we will not know who it belongs to.

13. How often do you feed?

We are happy to feed according to your schedule.
14. Do I bring my own bowls?

No. We provide bowls. Do not bring anything breakable such as, glass cups for measuring food or ceramic dishes.

15. Do you charge extra for exercise/playtime?

Yes. Because here, each dog already has access to their individual 16 foot outdoor run. If the weather is nice, we leave the doors open all day so they can come in and out as they want to.
16. Will my dog be with other dogs during playtime or will my cat be out with other cats?

No. We do not offer group playtimes.

17. Can I make reservations via email or fax?

No. You must call us at 317-896-2942 or 800-394-5147.

18. Can I call to check on my pets?
